This module is designed to provide basic factual knowledge at Foundation level aimed at introducing the topic of wine to Foundation students and is also suitable for those who wish to undertake a career or pursuing an interest in wine.  

This module provides a direct, basic introduction to the world of wine. Students will be provided with information on the main types and styles of wine as well as how wine is/can be appreciated through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and make food and wine pairings.

The module will also ensure that those who successfully finish it will have a solid, basic foundation on main international grape varieties, wine storage, wine styles, and wine types.
