This module introduces learners to the rich legacy of Maltese folklore and cultural heritage, exploring how traditional customs, rituals, and beliefs have evolved within contemporary society. Learners will examine key cultural elements, such as traditional costume, village feasts, legends, and the Maltese farmhouse, whilst developing an understanding of heritage management and cultural interpretation. Through the study of tangible and intangible heritage, the module also supports the development of cultural awareness, research skills, and the ability to communicate Malta’s traditions confidently and accurately in tourism and heritage contexts.
