Knights' Period (HND) - PT

This module introduces learners to the history and legacy of the Knights of St John, from their origins in Jerusalem to their rule over Malta. It examines the Order’s military, religious, and cultural influence, with particular focus on key events such as the Great Siege of 1565 and the development of Valletta. Learners will explore the Knights’ administrative structure, architectural achievements, and contributions to Maltese identity. The module supports the development of historical interpretation skills and prepares learners to communicate accurate, engaging narratives related to the Hospitaller period.
